Dr. Patricia Shi, MD

Dr. Shi is a graduate of Duke University School of Medicine and completed fellowships at Johns Hopkins and the Hematology Brank of NHBLI, NIH. She is a certified Advanced Biotherapies Professional with the AABB and holds an MS in Clinical Research from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. 

Dr. Shi has initiated clinical studies for several new therapies for sickle cell disease to treat pain crisis and prevent organ failure as well as new protocols for mobilization of hematopoietic stem cells currently used for all gene therapy trials in sickle cell disease.
